Probably the most affordable spot to get a haircut in the neighborhood — $26 when paying with cash or $30 with card as of September 2024. The decor and lime green paint is a little out there, but service is friendly and the cuts are good too. Walk-in only but I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes.
Under $30 including tip for a fade is a bargain in the city these days. I especially liked that I didn't have to ask for an eyebrow trim + he didn't waste any time getting it done. Definitely my go to when getting a cut in the city.
I went here kind of on a whim; you never know what's gonna happen when you step into a barber shop as a lady. As soon as I met Jenny, the stylist there, my fears were allayed--she is so sweet! Actually, the cut she gave me looks better the longer I live in it; totally love it! The price is very reasonable and when I went at 5p there were plenty of customers but not enough to have a wait. This is a real Eastern Market gem!
Jenny did a beautiful job — I highly recommend her services! She gave me great advice on my haircut, and her work was flawless. I'm really happy I chose their salon.
Good, cheap and fast cuts. JaJO is now my regular barber shop. They have I the most barbers at one location that I've seen, I believe there are 9 or 10 of them on two floors. The barber is not handicap accessible since it is on the second floor of the building.
Excellent barber! You can tell they do a great job by how busy the place is. Despite having five people ahead of me in line, the turnover was fast thanks to the many barbers and stylists working. The service was fantastic as well—I showed my barber a picture, and he not only provided some great recommendations but also gave me a modified version of the style, which turned out even better than expected. In short, they are quick and skilled!
Tracy did a really good job with the medium skin fade. For $26 pre tip However, I gotta say I was disappointed when I went back the second time because I got cut by a razor. I thought it was pretty careless. They didn’t even apologize. Haircut was still ok though.
